We welcomed Dover Athletic Fc to Star meadow today. Dover beat us 5-1 and 4-1 last season, they also combined with Dover Rangers this season so we knew they would be stronger and another good chance for us to see how much we have improved.

Blair started well and pushed from the start. the confidence seemed to be there form the last 2 weeks. In the 12th minute Luke broke through from the right only for his shot tohit the post, Steven following up had his shot cleared off the line. We continued putting pressure on but didn't create a clear cut chance. 28 minutes a Dover forward got through and slotted home, 0-1. We didn't let it get to us, within a few minutes Steven let fly and we hit the post again. At half time we were 0-1 down and wondering why. With the possesion we had and the chances we missed the game should have been wrapped up.

The 2nd half was scrappy, chances were missed by both sides. With 15 mins to go a terrible mistake by Callum gifted Dover a 2nd. We tried to get back into the game but we didn't look right. Thefight slowly went after we hit the crossbar and skied a couple of decent chances only for the Dover forward to claim a hatrick, 0-3.

We didn't desserve to lose 0-3 today but for the 2nd week running missed chances were our down fall. With Levi and Ti missing and a number of players off there game today we have to take the positives and believe today was nothing more than a bad day at the office.
