Blair Hold On To End Bromley's 100% Record
By Paul Tyrer.

Blair produced an excellent performance to earn a draw and at the same time, end Bromley's 100% record for the season.

It didn't look good for Blair when the visitors took the lead in the first minute, when from a corner the ball was scrambled home. Further pressure on the home defence followed, until Blair were awarded a free kick way outside the area for a foul on Danny Ansell. Louis Payne stepped up and his shot sailed over the keeper for the equaliser. This settled the home team and they more than matched Bromley for the rest of the half, despite some half chances the visitors maybe could have got more from.

The pattern was similar in the second half, with Bromley creating a number of half chances without ever really threatening to score. Their lively forwards were kept under control by some tight defensive play from Blair, whose only real attempt on goal at the other end came when Finn McGibbon had a shot from a free kick comfortably saved.

Overall, a deserved draw and Blair can now look forward to the Geerings Cup Semi Final against Maidstone in two weeks with great optimism.
